“ The Pabellón Arepa is my favorite dish from anywhere in the world, and Con Salsa made the best one I've ever had. The service was also wonderful. I'll definitely come back whenever I'm visiting from DC. ”
“ One bite in and we said we are coming back tomorrow. Jk. But maybe . This place is amazing and super friendly staff at counter. Can't wait to come back. ”
“ This place is cute- they have a liquor license with limited choices- they asked me write my name on the wall- which was fun!!I picked up my order - on time and hot. It was excellent excellent! Fresh and authentic! Yummy. Support local when you can - go here! ”
“ If you're ever traveling down Mountain Road you must stop at Con Salsa Venezuelan. They have authentic, homemade-style, Venezuelan food. The staff will greet you with a warm, motherly welcome by one of the managers, Maly, Luis, Juan, or Niko. The food is delicious, and the proportions are more than plenty. Highly recommend the arepas with coconut beef, surf, and turf, or any of the empanadas. ”
“ Finally made it to the physical location of Con Salsa. The outside is very desceiving, as it looks large. Upon entering, however, is a small space with a counter and very limited bar seating along the wall. There are some tables under a gazebo for those wanting to eat outside. Greeted by a young lady, made my order and had a very nice conversation with her as I awaited its completion. My ratings are as follows. Staff: 5 she was very nice and engaging! Cachapa: 3 taste was good, size was ok. In the middle of the road for RVA. Empanadas: 4. The texture and taste were good, but priced on the high side for RVA at $5 per. Maduros: 4 best tasting, for kind of small for $11 for 4. Parchita: 5. The best passion fruit drink in RVa at a fair price. It's in an area I seldom go through, but when I do, I will surely go back for the people and solid Venezuelan food! ”
“ This place is outstanding. Food was great and the people working there were super nice. My wife and I split a steak bowl with plantains (which were great) and a couple of the cheese stick appetizers. Sauces were awesome! Note: The only seating is outside but it is covered overhead. ”
“ Dinner was so delicious here on their cute outdoor patio. Fresh and straightforward ingredients prepared and seasoned really well. The service was amazing from order guidance to table delivery. The fresh juices were the perfect accompaniment. What a gem of a place! Highly recommend! ”
“ I had the Pabellon Vegetariano and my husband had the Carne Mechada. I devoured it before I could even take a picture. It's THAT good!!! No words can explain how delicious the food is here!!! We are from outside the area and found them via online search. We WILL be returning and we encourage you to try this place if you are on the fence. The service is STELLAR and the facilities are clean and tidy. 5 stars !!!! ”
“ I had had them at the ¿Qué Pasa? Festival (they have a food truck also) and had to get out to the restaurant. I loved the Empanada and I wanted to give the Arepa a try. Anyone who follows me knows Asian and Venezuelan food are my favorites and this place doesn't disappoint. I don't always eat meat or cheese... so I would say this is not a go-to for my vegans... and I get it. Just try one of everything and absolutely sit outside because it doesn't get much cuter than this well-lit patio. Service was just OK the night I went... But was immaculate at the festival from their truck ”
“ This food truck is literally addicting! I remember when my husband and I first saw this when driving down Mountain Rd and promised to give it a try. We tried it for the first time last month and have already ordered from them 3 times. I will say that it sucks that they open at 6, but it's really worth it. The wait is a little long too so I wouldn't recommend bringing your little ones if they're impatient. There is a big field next to it but it was starting to get dark the times that we went (and Daylight saving sure isn't going to help neither!) Anyways, my husband and I have ordered their Arapes and Empanadas. They have a new location opened up and we will have to try it out. Overall, this place is a must stop at and try. Delicious food and friendly staff. ”
